Staff selection – Roos Brouwer

This week’s staff selection comes from PR Intern Roos Brouwer.
She has created a playlist full of various uplifting tracks ranging from the 70’s Bee Gees to the latest from Martin Garrix and many more.
Curious about the stories behind them? Check it out here!

Martin Garrix feat. Clinton Kane – Drown
I chose Martin Garrix as number one on my list because his producing talent never ceases to amaze me. He always knows how to find the right balance between EDM sounds (perfect for a festival) and pop sounds (ready for the airwaves). There is always a good moment to listen to his music!

Camelphat & Elderbrook ‘Cola’
The real ‘Coca Cola’ is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. This song combines two of my favorite things; cola and music. Listen to it with an ice cold cola while the sun shines on your face and you will totally understand why this song is on my list.

Sander van Doorn, Martin Garrix, DVBBS – Gold Skies (ft. Aleesia)
Every time I listen to this song I get goosebumps all over my body. This is the perfect summer/festival song which always brings back great memories. That’s why no summer goes by without turning this song on repeat.

Ten Walls – Walking with Elephants
This is a very exciting song because they build up the tension perfectly, before the seamless drop that gives spine-tingling feels. I’m even getting excited when I explain it, it’s really worth a listen.

Solomun – Hypnotize
As the name suggests this song is very hypnotizing. I always listen to it if I need to be focussed like when I’m working or driving in my car. Plus, I have a lot of respect for Solomun. If you ever want to go to a techno festival make sure Solomun is playing, because this dude sets the stage on fire!

Dua Lipa – IDGAF
If there is one song I can completely sing along to, it is a Dua Lipa song. I’m a big fan of her and she’s a real power woman who I look up to.

John Mayer – New Light
This one certainly deserves a mention on my list, because I have been to all of his concerts in The Netherlands and because he’s a really good artist! The only hard part was choosing one song from his array of great albums. If you have the time listen to ‘Paradise Valley’ one of my favourite albums from John.

Bee Gees – Stayin’ Alive
I grew up listening to this song. Every time my parents and I went on holiday this song was on the maximum volume through the speakers. This song brings out a lot of joy in me and should therefore not be missing on my list.
