Staff Selection | Ezra Geldof

This week, our intern Ezra Geldof presents her Staff Selection! She has created a playlist of songs that remind her of good and special times. Learn more about Ezra’s stories behind the tracks below and listen here.

This Girl – Kungs vs Cookin’ On 3 Burners
This song became the theme song of my mother’s wedding last year on Ibiza as it was played repeatedly. People were going crazy, there were dance battles going on around the swimming pool, everyone was happy and the party vibes were so good! It was definitely the best party I have ever experienced, together with all of our friends and family.

Came Here For Love – Sigala & Ella Eyre
My sister, my mom’s maid of honor and I sang this song during my mom’s wedding party, which was held in a night club in Ibiza town. We performed on stage in front of all the guests, it was a special night and a beautiful experience which I’ll never forget.

Good Time – Owl City ft. Carly Rae Jepsen
This song reminds me of my time in high school. It was played in a promotional video the school used to attract new students. The feel good song brings back memories to the good times and fun I had together with my friends.

Your Number – Ayo Jay
In May 2016, I went to Curaçao for holiday and this song used to be a huge hit on the island as you could hear it in every shop and every street corner. Every time I hear the song now, I get in that chill and relaxed Summer mood again.

Still Got Time – Zayn feat. PARTYNEXTDOOR
I absolutely love car rides and to put the volume of the speakers real high, especially when the trips are quite long. When I’m together with my mom and brother, we always put on our favorite music and this track definitely belongs in our top 10 favorite songs.

Feels – Calvin Harris feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean
Each year we spent the Summer holiday together with the whole family and there is always a song or playlist that becomes like a theme song of that period. This song reminds me of our holiday in Sitges three years ago and puts a smile on my face every time I hear it.

Hummingbird Heartbeat – Katy Perry
My mom and I both love feel good songs and this song is definitely one of those tracks. We listened to it often when we were on the road, on our way to see my grandmother, who’s living in Eindhoven, which is a 1,5 hours drive away. We are actually more just singing and shouting than actually listening to the track, haha.

What You Know Bout Love – Pop Smoke
What I like most about this song, is that I share the love for it with my friends at school. Everyone knows the lyrics by heart and we all listen to it over and over again.
